(re)cover inc. plants native and edible plants in the living wall. All living walls can be ordered unplaned or planted.
Options for low maintenance herbs are: mint, chocolate mint, peppermint, chives, oregano, arugula, radichio, green swiss chard, red swiss chard, yellow swiss chard, lavender, thyme, wholly thyme and lemon thyme. Additionally, we can also plant some basil, parsley and creeping rosemary, but they may need extra TLC and will not last the winter. We can be creative by incorporating edible nasturtium and any other plants that you favour.
If you or anyone in your family have any health issues- list them in your order and we will suggest certain herbs to plant accordingly. You can use those herbs in your daily cooking and by simply adding them to your water. Having the aroma of those specific herbs in you home will also enrich your health and quality of life tremendously.
Additional Benefits of the Living Walls
1. Increasing Sound Insulation
Vegetation, growth medium, and trapped air can increase the effectiveness of building sound insulation by absorbing or reflecting sound frequencies.
2. Increasing Aesthetics
Are an easy and effective way of increasing aesthetic value and functionality of a room. The sight, sounds, smells, colors, and movement of plants contribute considerably to human health and well being, reducing stress and elicits a relaxed state of mind
3. Improving Air Quality and Reducing Airborne Particulates
Green plants capture airborne pollution in two ways: absorption or by adhering to the leaf or stem surface. Living walls can complement, and in some cases, almost equal the capacity of removing pollutants as existing trees.
